Nobody makes an IPS or VA that can push 240 Hz, in fact this panel is literally the only 240 Hz panel on the market. There are a couple other monitors (Acers I think) that match the 240 Hz refresh but they are using the exact same panel. And my previous monitor was also a TN so I'm used to it anyway.

Our weather has been pretty volatile going from one extreme to the other. Its been bitterly cold, followed by unseasonably warm, followed by bitter cold again, and then its going to warm up again.

Lots and lots of desktops (DisplayFusion picks a random wallpaper for each monitor once per day).
So 2 wallpapers per day from a pool of 1500 means it takes just over 2 years before it needs to show a repeat.

Stuff that ran at 144 FPS before the update, still runs at 144 FPS after the update.

Some storage benchmarks show a fairly consistent hit to performance in random 4KB reads, but most games seem to not care at all (the majority of them actually score almost 1% faster after the patch even).

Hardly anyone puts AMD GPUs in an Intel laptop because Nvidia GPUs put out the same quality and performance for half the power/heat/noise and double the battery. AMD has practically zero presence in the mobile GPU space other than laptops with AMD APU integrated graphics.
