Re: Remember...this guy?

Every american who thinks of the 2nd always concentrates on the 'shall not be infringed' part and acts like the first part doesn't even exist. The SCOTUS does, good enough for me. people bend on doing it don't give a ★■◆● about laws and will get guns, explosives or any other implement they can use ...

Re: USB Converter for MS Sidewinder 3DPro, PP, and FFP

It does matter using the -9 hex file -- the -10 is the wrong one, it's for a different board. The only potential problem I can see is the SH pin of the Winford connector. Assuming you clipped the pin (you should), it may rest on the wire that's coming from D1 and short it out -- that would create tr...

Re: Remember...this guy?

Time to face it: America needs gun control. "but second amendment!" I hear. Yeah no, that's been abused every time a shooting has happened. Check the writing; says 'well regulated militia'. Your founding fathers were wanting gun control. That's what well regulated means. Nope. "well ...

That's the feds for you. Making the records electronically available would be a de-facto registration which the feds are not allowed to have. States are free to implement them if they so wish (and get it past their people, eg. CA, NY etc.) In OR the background check has to go through the state poli...

Re: The stupid that just makes you stop in your tracks.

Also, unsurprisingly given the source, that link woefully undersells the original journal article. Look at you, finding the stupidity. For me the idea that our observable sphere is a simulation is pretty absurd -- just take a look at what it takes Folding@Home to simulate single proteins to fold, a...

Another fun sign of how fucked we are: the federal database of firearm transactions is located in West Virginia and consists of Lord knows how many boxes of PAPER FILES. The facility has a few storage containers rented because they can't fit all of them in the building proper. Oh, and these are jus...

Re: Image Dump MEGATHREAD.

Pathetic. Last time I checked killing people is illegal. #2 -- machine guns are "totally" legal almost everywhere in the US (certain states have laws prohibiting them like CA, NY, etc) They are federally regulated via the NFA of 1934 : "All NFA items must be registered with the Bureau...

Re: Dropped connection requires reboot

I swore I will never ever give Comcast a cent so when Centurylink went down the drain I looked for an alternative. Alyrica is local, Philomath to be exact (service calls actually work :) ) and yes, it's a wireless system. Works well tho, they connect to the Portland backbone via fiber. Got the gamer...

Re: Dropped connection requires reboot

Oh no, did you talk to Alyrica 1st ? (alyrica.net) I'm quite happy w/ them... After this happens, try opening an elevated command shell (Right click Command Prompt, "Run as admin") and run ipconfig /release followed by ipconfig /renew If that doesn't work try ipconfig /release6 and /renew6...

Re: I'm easily entertained...

Suppressors started as a civilian thing in the early 1900s w/ the baffle design -- very robust but somewhat bulky and not "assassin" quiet. When the military got interested in them for spec ops, they looked into ways to quiet them down further and came up w/ the wet and wiped designs that ...

Re: I'm easily entertained...

Modern designs should last quite a while if maintained (ie. cleaned once in a while...) and not misused (putting a .22LR can on a .223...) There are (mostly old) designs that will wear out faster, eg. if they are packed w/ steel/copper wool (burns up), use rubber wipes (good for only 10 shots or so)...

Re: "Mainstream" left turning against Antifa

Anyhow, most REPUTABLE sources have pretty much started to see the so-called Antifa(and some have even been interviewed) as garden variety anarchists, riding an issue. They aren't really 'leftist', in the sense they wish no order of any sort. More recently, the antifa groups, which some describe as...

SJW's don't exist? Welcome to 2017, where feminism paranoia is running rampant and every guy is looked upon as a potential rapist. Thanks. You have a "Ministry of the Status of Women" ? WTH do they do ? Does Canada have a "Ministry of Information Retrieval" by chance ? :twisted2:
