So, Waylain was sick, and forgot to record the meeting, but the gist of it is, We're starting up a Rocket League E-sports team, tentatively called Unnamed Gaming. While there are other games, we're using this one to get our feet wet and get the processes and contracts ironed out, so eventually, we w...

I thought I would bring this to everyones attention. We're working on starting up a new esports team, and there is a public meeting coming up this Saturday if anyone is interested in being a part of it. The meeting will be held on our discord. Yea, because the biggest cost of the tower is often getting fiber to the tower, especially in rural areas. Then you have terrain and trees... just picking a good spot for the tower requires some brains, then you have to be able to acquire said spot, then there are zoning and land permits, FCC permit...

That handheld splicer is probably $15-19,000 The one I use that sits on a desk and is about 6 inches cube is $10,000 Thats about half what they were 10 years ago, so its coming along. While I think there is more life left in Coax than you think, I essentially agree with you. Most future cable tech is Fiber deep, with the next step beyond docsis 3.1 being fiber to the tap (every tap becomes a node) pushing out 25GHZ down the coax drop (most current cable systems are 750mhz to 1ghz...

I was actually looking forward to the Orville more than the new Trek. I'm really put off by the restriction to CBS all access bullcrap. Its Voyager and UPN all over again. I'm not saying the new Trek is bad, I don't like the Klingons though, and anytime they mess around with a prequel, they're bound...

I'll second that. I have every channel there is due to my work, but I watch local stations the most. There is a Tivo over the air box you can get if you want a slick DVR service without building your own. Almost everything other than that is netflix/hulu/amazon etc and other stuff thats available on...

I suppose that would help, but I can't help but think you'd eventually have problems with seals - but I could be wrong or maybe I'm just pessimistic. I know the craftsmanship on the engine would be good enough you shouldn't have problems or maybe they found another way around the problem, hard to sa...

Interesting concept, I would think the oil seals would need to be absolutely perfect on the top half and might be prone to problems stemming from containing the oil in what would normally be, upside down. I think a dual piston setup would work better in an upside down V - basically how they sit in a...

You know, I have a couple theories on this, not entirely in the same catagory, but here they are: 1) Creation vs Evolution - not mutually exclusive. Hmm. I'd buy the company I work for, and fire everyone. No, I wouldn't really fire everyone as much as I would like to, but there would be some big changes. If you get a V6, get the biggest one you can, an overworked small v6 will suck as much gas as a big v8, and give you none of the performance, and a big v6 that doesn't have to work hard will end up being more efficient. (usually)

I've kinda got the opposite problem, I bought a joystick/throttle and haven't really got around to setting it up. Re: Descent : Underground. Did anyone here knew about this?

The Descent name is owned by Interplay, but some of the specific assets (like the Pyro-GX, PTMC, and Dravis) are owned by Parallax, which is split between Outrage and Volition. So we have 3 asset holders who don't really play well together. The easiest way to get around that is to make a prequel. T...

Personally, I think prequels are over-rated, I'd much rather have them pick up the story at some point after D3.

Over the last several months, I've run into an inexplicable phenomena of things just deciding to stop connecting to Wireless N.
