Krom and the others have excellent advice. I'll put in my two cents. I have been a faithful nVidia user for 5 years. For something reasonably current, I would suggest a Geforce 9800 or GTX 260 with 512MB of RAM at most. The GTXs are getting pretty cheap now. Don't waste your money buying something n...

Simply put, the Accord or the Camry. They are comfortable, reliable, dependable cars that will last to or past 300,000 miles when well cared for. I love Hondas, so I would recommend getting the Accord.

This was somewhat humorous, but a little too ridiculous. If you took the time to do this, you have need to find something else to do with your time. Foil is right; it would have had more comedic value if you hadn't made it personal.

Snow in the midwest

Hey folks in the midwest and beyond. A big winter storm swept the region, leaving the place coated in a beautiful blanket of white. Share your winter/snow photos! Here's a picture I took from the library of LSTC campus: http://zantor64.fs2downloads.com/images/Miscellaneous/snowy%20campus.jpg Dialup ...

Depending on what codec was used in that AVI file, you might be able to convert it to a format more widespread and compatible than what it's in right now. If I convert a video using Any Video Converter, I can choose one of about 5 or 6 formats in video, and one of 3 formats in audio for AVI.

I like my Saitek Cyborg Evo. It has lasted me a good year and a half, but it doesn't see heavy use, so that might be why; if you get one, watch for sticky buttons (just comes with wear) and a hat wearing out; I had to replace mine thanks to a sticky button after 6 months, so I've actually had one tw...

I thought this would be worth mentioning. If I am correctly informed, the PXO source code has been released to the FreeSpace community by Volition. If PXO were to be revived, it would benefit both D3 and FS2 if the service could be restored for both, even though FS2 has FS2Net to keep it going right...

20GB is tiny for Win7. I suggest at least 30. It's just as bloated as vista. I ran the 32-bit RC back in June on an AMD Sempron 2.2 GHz. I suggest at least 2.0 in single core or 1.8 in dual core. I was able to get it to run with 1GB of RAM, and better than vista could function, but for best performa...

To be specific, Newegg I use almost exclusively; TigerDirect I look at sometimes, same with ZipZoomfly; usually Newegg has the lowest price and I love their service. For laptop screens, SmartMicro USA. I have not found a 100% solid laptop parts vendor yet except for SmartMicro for screens.

Personally, I'm not fond of the HP dv series. I've had to service two of them and finding drivers for XP is a ★■◆●, and they are the oddest put together laptops I have worked with to date; I had to replace the screen on a dv6915nr. I suggest getting an MSI, ASUS, or something else not HP or Dell.
