I'm optimistic as well. I kicked in on this a few months back and I'll have the mmo when it's released as well (assuming it's released). You have to give them credit that at least when they clarified that the mmo was separate they still gave you time to jump in and get both for original price. I spe...

Why no Miner Wars forum?

Is there a reason there is not a Miner Wars forum on the DBB somewhere? It seems to be the closest thing to another Descent we are going to get in the near future. I'm debating whether to kick in on the alpha buy-in so I wanted to hear some feedback and there apparently isn't any, not here at least ...

I am very saddened to hear this. Bama and I had a lot of great times playing in Descent and DCBB. I first met him in person at Uberfest 2 in 99 when I sat next to him and Murph and we had a great time. And then again in Houston and at Suncoast 2. I still have one of his business cards with a cartoon...

I run BF2 and BF 2142 on Vista Business 64 with no problems except for an occasional issue with my X-fi and Teamspeak. I think that's more on Teamspeak since we've been waiting on 3.0 forever.

I played one that sounds like it's what you are thinking of on Engage games online. It's where I met Capm and where he started Midnight Squadron as well. The ship names sound the same so I think it must be the one you are thinking of. I played it back around 1996 or so.
