Benchmarking a network

Hi everyone Anyone here know of any good tools that can be used to benchmark throughput on any given LAN? I'd like to run a few tests on some of the equipment I have to see if maybe one of my cables is bad or something. Any suggestion? Ideal program would just be something that uses UDP and transmit...

Maybe we should send all of our armed forces to fuggin Vulcan to undergo a purging of all emotions then. That would be fun if that planet really existed. Oh well. There is something to be said for having a very strong grip on emotions rather than letting them grip you.

Or, mass lobotomies? Ha!

We ought to be looking at ways to reach near-light speeds (Or break them, if thats at all realisticly possible...I dare anyone to prove it isnt) so that missions to other planets are decently viable.

"Getting a new nic" to me represents ripping out the old one and putting a new one in its place. Not possible, as its a laptop nic thats built in.

Yeah itwould be nice if user icons were actually limied to 15k. Also, there ought to be an option somewhere that has the BB code show a link to a large pic instead of auto-displaying the actual image. This would really help for those of us who use modem either as a main connect or occasionally.
