I'm trying to get D2X-XL's smoke effects working for me, but I don't see so much as a puff. Is the effect dependent on video-card capabilities? My card (ATI Radeon All-In-Wonder 9000 Pro - 64 MB) isn't spectacular, but I'm pretty sure it's capable of handling the smoke. I've enabled smoke (it would ...

If you want the best gameplay, the person with the slower connection should allow the faster to host, methinks.Mobius wrote:I still maintain that all 1v1 games should be played P2P, on high speed connects, with accurates enabled, a packet ratio of 10 or more, and a coin toss deciding who will host.

I would think the passengers have cause to sue the pilots for willful neglegence. ... Both the passengers and the pilots are dead. I doubt anyone's suing anybody, unless via séance. :P But that aside , I agree with you. All they needed to do was cover the rotten traffic like I'm sure they wer...

Bichording's not as bad as what my old computer does ... 4 or 5 keypresses will make one of the keys stick down - usually a slide key that pins me against the wall while the bot I was trichording around kills me. :x Ages ago the Police Department I do computer work for sometimes was throwing out som...

Coincidentally I was just trying to run D3 on WINE today - with pathetic results, but that's just because that computer's got a 4 MB graphics card and a 700 MHz processor on top of WINE's lag. What are your system specs, and have you tried using the OpenGL driver instead of DirectX? It improved the ...

Ridiculous. It was the news copter pilots' own decision to follow the chase so intently that they didn't watch where they were going. If anyone should be charged, charge the news companies for not enforcing stricter precautions against this type of accident. If a policeman had died, I would say yes,...

D1X-R Good idea there, all this time I've been playing on a 700 MHz P3 with the original game. Homers are impossible to dodge unless you've got a corner nearby. Ready for pounding
Alright, I've waited long enough. I want to get out into the mines. The only problem is that I don't have Kali or any of the other game browsers and since I'm using a shared computer, I'm not free to go and install one. :( So is anyone interested in getting together for a game using D2X-XL's tracker...

29,000 is the actual figure of known sex offenders on MySpace, but they're not all molesters. You can get on the sex offender registry simply by allowing your rear end to be seen in public, or taking a whiz in a public place. I'm not sure what percentage of that 29,000 is real, but I'm guessing ther...

Unless you're willing to pay, the best way to share files between OSX and Windows XP is to create a FAT32 formatted partition on one of your drives. Both OSX and Windows XP can read and write with FAT32, so you can keep any files that need to be accessible from both systems there. Alternatively, for...

That's one very nice piece of work. I can't promise anything, since I'm a little busy with work, etc. at the minute, but I'll at least look at the Blender export scripts and see how easily I could adapt one to .oof for you. The other reason I can't promise is that I don't know Python very well - I'v...
