Win 7 Home Premium x64. Been running it for nearly 3 months now. Zero compatibility problems, even my 5 year old HP Inkjet printer has x64 drivers. UAC is still pretty much the UAC. I was naughty and turned it off. If you'd like to save some cash and you still need XP for some reason, consider downl...

I bought a Mac Mini and dual boot Windows 7 and Snow Leopard on it. They start at 599. Where I work we are an Apple partner and the word is next week new (cheaper?) models will be released. Obviously you can self build a system for much cheaper than what Apple provides. The one I customized has an I...

If so Windows Live Photo Gallery isn't half bad. I've used the Windows 7 version to crop our wedding pictures.

Recomend a good Fan/Heatsink for a GeForce 7950GT?

The years of gaming on my rig has caused the fan to start making a very undesirable noise even after removing and cleaning it. Also the temps on it have never been to my liking (191+ F playing FarCry 2) Does anyone have a favorite HSF for VGA cards? I don't watercool so airflow only please. :) The s...

I really haven't posted any interesting topics here lately. So I figured why start now? Who here uses a Smart Phone of some type? (Blackberry, iPhone, Windows Mobile, Android, Palm etc...) I was using full blown Oulook 2007 at home... but massive overkill for my Gmail syncing over IMAP... I'm using Windows Live Mail now on Windows 7 Home (Part of the Windows Live Essentials).

Pretty lightweight and spiffy.

Good to see you got it figured out. In the future you can try some of these: You can often clear out the Library Pref files and Caches in OSX for specific programs that crash on start up. A corrupt Pref file can prevent a program from launching. Just be careful here, this is similar to nuking regist...

Ubuntu is a pretty slick little OS for being free. I installed a copy awhile back on an ancient IBM laptop we had laying around at work. Ran great and all devices on the system worked. Was great for surfing the web and listening to music.
