Ha! I love the nice, neat arrangement of Nintendo goods on the wall, especially the Zapper! Why weren't more games made for that thing, anyway?..

I got it--mount that thing to the plastic Pyro , and move THAT around instead of your head! Perhaps the model can have some kind of clip on the bottom for a display stand, which could also accommodate something to which the tracker could be mounted. It could have a handle with a spring on the bottom...

You're very welcome, lithium. Descent brings back so many memories of my own I just had to share them here. I do miss that stick; it really fit the game like a glove. I wonder what happened to it, I can't even seem to find it on eBay. As for the length, Jon--not to sound vain, but surely amidst a sm...

My tips according to what I understand and have experienced, some of which has been echoed above: Aerobics are the only exercise that directly burns fat, as the heart is powered by ketones, which are a product of fat metabolism. Raise the heart rate, and more fat energy is needed. Strength training ...

If it is a genuine Ionic Breeze, it should say so on the body. Still, the imitators should be effective enough. Good luck with your new purchase and your new air!

Uploaded the avatar again, see if it posts this time. It's the same one I uploaded to my descentbb.com account, don't know why it's not working here.

A good read indeed, but was anyone else troubled by his assertion that \"Art skills aren’t important for gaming programmers\"? As a software engineer who also enjoys various creative pursuits, I'm having a hard time agreeing with that. I'd argue that nurturing one's creativity through art ...

I too use an Ionic Breeze, a GP (germicidal protection) model. The GP comes from a UV lamp you can turn on to kill airborne pathogens as the air is filtered. After two weeks or even one week the collection plates fill up and are easily wiped off. I don't remember seeing the need for a 12-hour dry ti...

Heh, I see what you mean, Diedel. I had noticed there were no hostages thrown from the exploding Pyro. I figured they were just incinerated in the blast. With the Star Trek transporter/food replicator theory, the pattern buffers would be incinerated, producing the same effect: lost hostages. And yea...

I think it would have to be Casablanca...just a classic in every respect. Other favs include Lawrence of Arabia, Metropolis, and Double Indemnity. In Milwaukee we have the Times Cinema, in business since 1935. They would show older films almost every week. They're more about contemporary independent...

Hello everyone...It's so good to be back! (CP'ed from .com)

A big hello to everyone on this board! Please allow me to (re)introduce myself… I’ll never forget the night I first played Descent—Saturday, May 13th, 1995, my 17th birthday. We just unboxed a brand new Pentium/100 w 32MB of RAM, the culmination of 2 years’ savings of paper route and McDonald’s mone...
