...you're going to hate me for asking this psionik, but are we still going to see the game (or at least a demo) this year? (I hope, I hope, I hope... ) If not, that's cool - I'm more than happy to wait util it's perfect, and from the sounds of it that shouldn't be too far away :) All I want to...

Sirius raises a good point with travel time. In order to generate the kind of longevity and appeal that Descent had, you need to cater (obviously enough) for noobs and vetrans. Speaking for the noobs here (cause I am one when it comes to net play  ) having an **instant** hit weapon of some vari...

...those weapons sound great - though I'm with Krom on the 4.5 second recharge time. 3 seconds is more than enough ...unless of course if you make an enormous racket when you do it ...that might help balance out the extra firepower. That being said, I'm comparing CD here to Descent. And while they h...

...wow - great suggestions all of you - thanks a milion. I think I've solved my biggest problem - silly me ...I WAS PLAYING SOBER! Krom, Grendel, Duper - you were right, mapping bank to the R axis is the way to go (IMHO) ...the thing I was doing wrong was trying to remove key duplication from ...

New stick config suggestions?
Hi Folks. I've just upgraded from a generic four button joystick with hat switch to a vibrating sidewinder knockoff (...man, that sounds dirty  )with a rotational axis - but no matter what I try I can't get a comfortable / instinctive config on the thing. I know a lot people here use joysticks ...

I'n not an American and therefore not really qualified to comment - but I think you'll find that the presence in Germany provides a geographically advantageous position for Nato. It also seems like the US is currently debating putting a missile defense shield into Europe (which has Putin threatening...

Okay My turn. 36 - Started Playing D1 on the Mac - The full commercial version came bundled with the system - along with those stupid shutter 3D glasses that never kept up with the frame rate for some reason. Still play D1 occasionally but usually play D3 Net games via Vortex. My oldest kids is gett...

Personally I believe that all conjecture on the nature of God is problematic, as by definition god (if he exists) is a perfect being and we (who are defintely imperfect) are going to have trouble in coceiving on the nature of a perfect being - and therefore have trouble understanding God's morality ...

...you're on KB - just make sure it's an AUS server - I'm still getting used to 300+ ping time. Messenjah - I don't mind Subway...frankly I've yet to play it. Keep in mind because most of my gaming has been single player, all these network levels are brand new to me (Yup - that's right ...there's fr...

The Briefest of Intros...
Hi all! Just a very brief introduction - I'm Gekko71 (AKA Shannon) - used to play Descent 1,2 & 3 for years but never got into network / net games as I lived in rural Western Australia and the ping times were measured in minutes (..honesty!) :) So glad to see that Descent hasn't died out. My old...
