Kinda Disappointing..
I had an AIW 9600 card laying about, and some spare parts, and an old hp. Well, long story short, after much tinkering, I got drivers to install under Windows 7, WMC finally saw it and programmed all the channels, however... all I get is audio, the video gives me a low bit rate error and states that...

Unfortunately, most providers (dish and cable alike) cannot offer channels ala-cart. First because the technology just hasn't been there, altho its now available, implementing it is easier said than done because Congress has given the broadcasters and the Programmers (the people who make the TV chan...

Pay attention to your modem if your internet connection drops, if you have 4 solid green lights, then your modem is online, the problem will be on your side of the modem. Keep an eye on those levels in the signal screen though, if any of the numbers change significantly, then there is a problem, and...

Bad Frequency card? You have no idea how a cable modem system works Bubba, but thanks for that. I haven't laughed this hard since I was a little girl. (nice try on the edit too, but still a fail) Twinkie, If your signal level isn't changing, your lines are fine, its not the modem. You still dropping...

The downstream power level is a bit low, but still well within spec, it will work down to -12 (range is about -15 to +15) or so, but your transmit power at 46 is perfect, still you have 6db to play with. (as far as amount of signal you can raise by removing splitters from the line, before it causes ...

It'll take more than a decade for it to become widely supported and developed for, even if it doesn't flop, and even then, I doubt it'll be little more than competition for Mac OS, there's already too many OS's out there, the last thing we need is another obscure OS popping up on machines thats not ...

Cisco 1720 & nat
So, I'm tinkering with a Cisco 1720, trying to get nat working. My goal is just learning cisco's comands and such. I figured I would start with something simple like a basic network with nat. Still, I can't seem to get it to work. I'm set up like so: Cable Modem -> Cisco 1720 -> Cisco 2950 -> PC I s...

I have an eclipseII and love it. The keys do wear, but not much, my n and e keys have worn a bit but I've had it a long time. No other wear on the keys. The light is not so bright that its blinding at night, you have a choice of colors and you can turn it down or off if you like. Aside from the ligh...
