Hehe Merlin true Dat! When I played D1 on Lan is when I got hooked and started upgrading the 386SX. I had a 256K video card and then went VESA 2MB, no sound card to Sound Blaster 16,(played D1 no sound and in the tiny window in order to run the game), 1 mb Ram to 8 MB, and found some cache ram from...

I've always been an FFXI fan, although I don't have as much time to play it now as I once did. I've played WoW too, my account is currently inactive, quit last year @ lvl 67, then picked it up a bit back at the end of the summer to hit 70 (and get a flying mount!), I had fun playing to 70, but I've ...

External HDD read/write for both Mac/PC
OK.. I have an external LaCie 160GB USB HDD. I'd like to format it to work with both XP/Vista and Mac OSX (10.5). I've tried doing the command line to format the drive to FAT32 but no matter the size of the partition (I've tried less than 137GB) it fails saying the volume is too large for fat32. Any...

My dad just purchased an HP media PC with an AMD X2 2.6GHz with 4GB RAM and Vista 64-bit. It's a litte speed demon even with the Aero interface turned on. I use a Lenovo R61u @ work with a Core 2 Duo T8300 (2.4GHz), 2GB 667MHz DDR RAM and Vista 32-bit, and it even pumps out great performance with al...

That pretty much makes it impossible to filter out. Obviously, you've participated in a chat group where the participants are getting spammed. Tough luck. Myself, I stay a looooong way away from the IM chat rooms for that very reason. Thanks for the advice, but I've never joined an IM chat of any k...

Trillian
I have not been able to figure out how to turn this feature off in Trillian. I keep getting random UIN add requests. There is a way to block this in ICQ, but anyone know how to block it in Trillian ICQ? I have all the filtering on? http://i98.photobucket.com/albums/l248/Jmeat/t.jpg Thanks for any he...

Not to jump off topic, but I have read some very good things about these babys: http://www.wdc.com/en/products/products.asp?driveid=494
Outside your requested price range though.
I also use a 7200.11 Seagate in my main rig. A great drive. (This one here)

No, if the copy of Windows is not legit you will get a pop up WGA stating that. Also it will not allow you to install SP2/3. http://i98.photobucket.com/albums/l248/Jmeat/WGA.jpg Sounds like the SP needs to be reinstalled and possibly re-activated. I agree with the others, try skipping SP2 and go rig...

Hmmmm.... not happy about the fact that you are forced to install Google toolbar or Yahoo toolbar.... also not happy that it has an annoying pop-up under your toolbar when it asks you if you want to save your password. I wonder if there is a way to just disable it from saving passwords at all. I do...
