'Render entire mine' is checked.
I've done many tests, with and without the 'Render Entire Mine' checked, but it looks the same, Skybox can't be seen through walls anyway.

Hi-Res textures doesn't work for me also. Ah, and i discovered a little problem: Skybox segments aren't visible through walls (cloaked or closed transparent ones). Here, i have a screenshot: http://upload4.postimage.org/29768/scrn0001.jpg This can be fixed, or it's due to limitations in render engin...

The briefing hum is still there, but mixed with the MIDI music of the D2Demo briefing. However, i like it more the new way, with music BG and also the hum. I hope diedel will not change this, because it's better with music. Or well, in any case, he could add an option to play or not to play briefing...

Diedel, for the MVL specs, you can found them in http://www.descent2.com The site has the Developer section containing specs of many D2 file formats. The MVL is just an archive (like the HOG files) containing the MVE files inside. So D2X-XL already supports MVE, the only thing that could be neat, is...

That's the problem, when i created the level was a normal one but with too many (and you could say, invalid) segments, but Devil doesn't cares too much about the ammount of segments (it only says a warning of more cubes than descent can handle). In fact, i want to open it in DLE-XP to convert it to ...

DLE-XP can't load levels with more than 900 cubes
I have this problem: I'm making a level in Devil that exceeds the original 900 cubes limit, but since i want to use it in D2X-XL that supports up to 3600 segments, so that not should be a problem. The real problem is, when i open the RL2 file in DLE-XP (1.5.28 ) it says an error of cube limit exceed...

Bugs in version 1.5.156: The waterfalls doesn't have ambient sound anymore. And agreed, the mouse vertical movement is very bad, i don't remember the original Descent 2 moved that bad :? . And BTW, the cheat CRYPTONITE doesn't exists. That's why you can't see any effect D3Phoenix. The correct cheat ...

Problems with old game and new nVidia drivers
I have this problem: The old game Warbirds looks horrible in Direct3D mode with my eGeforce MX4000 with Forceware 81.98. With the older Forceware that came within the CD of the video-card, the game looks nicer, with bilinear filtering and everything, but with the new drivers, it looks blocky and unf...

Well, if they are Additive, Multiplicative or whatever (i don't care now :P ) the only thing i say is if it's posible to make th colored lights like the ones in D3, where you shoot a blue, purple (or whatever) laser and doesn't darks the room and seems more brighter. In 1.5.130, if i use a custom BG picture for the main menu, it disappears everytime i select an option from the main menu and appears the original Descent 2 BG pic. Then, the custom one reappears when i exit a sub-menu of the main menu. On Descent 1: First Strike, there is no briefing anymore, but t...

In D1X-R, what about older resolution modes for mor nostalgic feel? like the olds 320x100 and 320x200 that Descent 1 supports. Also, support for MP3 or OGG instead of HMP would be cool. And for higher resolutions, high resolution pictures of the Menu and Credits, etc... would be nice also, not only ...

Nice, now the Headlight works as it should work a real Headlight. And now, about the colored weapon lights, you are right that is already saturating, but then maybe instead of a simpler saturate model, you could use a multiplication light model like the Dodge of some paint programs and many games out...

Cool :D Ah, and what i mean about Headlight is this: Example: If i'm in a somewhat darker room with some little orange colored lights, when i turn on the Headlight, the room will become full lighted but always orange. Agreed with Zico about not being a real competition. I do like a lot more D2X-XL now and is my favorite version of Descent 2, but it's very nice to have another effort to make this old game live on newer systems. I already downloaded D1X-Rebirth and it's very nice :D Maybe i will go for Zico in D1, ...

Well, i'm a mouser and i have a joystick, but i never use it for Descent. Like many people said here, a lot of good players uses Mouse instead of Joystick. I don't think that Mouselook is that necesary. Or well, what about a limited Mouselook, i mean, not so fast (for me as a mouser, is toooooo fast...
