FS: Various items - college move-out clearance/liquidation
Hey folks. I'm clearing out excess items that are in my possession in preparation for leaving town for college. I have several items for sale of all sorts. Take a look and PM or post if you are interested, but don't waste my time if you aren't serious. More items will be added as I find them. The li...

I don't know anything about the Droid, but I know about Motorola's products. I have owned nothing but a Motorola since I got my first phone in 2007. They are excellent products, and in the last year they have significantly improved the quality of their manufacturing. I have the Krave and it is a ver...

Firefox has a feature called Caret Browsing; push F7 to activate it. It makes navigating pages with the keyboard easier. I have a Toshiba Satellite and I use the touchpad, even when browsing the web. I think you will just have to adjust to using a touchpad or a mouse thumbstick (the thing Thinkpads ...

If you want to stick with the high end business-grade processors, take a look at a dual core Opteron for socket AM2 or AM2+. Opterons are of the best out there, and are used in render farms and high load servers nationwide and worldwide. Dreamworks's render farm uses Opterons, and Cray uses them in ...

I have Koss (the $30 ones) headphones and a Labtec microphone. It's not USB, it's not fancy, but it does the job fine. Yes, I'm cheap when it comes to chat gear because I don't use it often enough to justify $50 for headphones and $20 for a microphone. Try a Turtle Beach or other quality headset. Br...

I suggest the new Saitek Cyborg X or the older Saitek Cyborg Evo. I have the plain version of the Evo but it seems all that's for sale right now is the force feedback model . Given the reputation for the Evo to be a strong, sturdy, reliable stick with plenty of buttons an an 8-direction hat, the Cyb...

Though it's very expensive because it's an enterprise-grade software program, I like (but don't use) NX , the CAD software my dad's employer makes. It is very high end and very powerful, yet I haven't worked with a recent version. My dad's employer has many big name customers, namely GM, Nissan, and...

I have used several LCD monitors in the last few years and the graininess isn't a problem unless you get a really cheap monitor. Dot pitch of 0.26mm or narrower would give you something nice and crisp at the monitor's native resolution. I still use CRTs and they suit me fine, and I do occasional pho...

I agree with Krom and fliptw regarding Internet speed constraints and input lag. Those are huge obstacles and still not able to be completely overcome. I would much rather get a PS3 or build a new PC to take advantage of new games, rather than trust a cloud server and a lightning fast Internet line....

If you open up the system restore tab in the system properties, it will show it for all the drives it's monitoring. If your 'slave' drive is listed in there, then it will delete the data when you turn it off. You could also use system restore to delete all but the most recent restore point, or use a...
