I just find it idiotic to look at Islamic radicals and make some sort of dimwitted inference that it reflects on Mohammed, or the Koran in general. so, Spidey, what is your definiton of 'propaganda'? It would seem to be whatever you don't agree with. I can accept you differing on the level of 'funny', as that is personal and subjective, but to stretch it to propaganda seems a real stretch. To use this one as an example, you don't feel that ther...

The problem with public funding of basic research, and their derivatives, as I see it… 1. The direct payment of thousands of “lab coats” salaries. doesn't work that way, or didn't when I was in graduate school, in the late '70's. Funding went to research centers which paid for salaries, equipment a...

I'm not really familiar with Ayn Rand , but I looked over the Wikipedia article about her (what an awful name-change--she had a beautiful name). I don't see any reason, right off-hand, to draw a link between her and Ron Paul. Is there a link there, or is that an assumption on your part? most of the...

no hypersensitivity on my part, Will. I simply feel it is very counterproductive to waste time on a subject so trivial, given so many more important issues facing the nation. A central tenet of Tea Party economics is "sink or swim, everyone should fight for their own piece of the pie". It's effectively "do what's in one's own interest", which is a pretty good definition of egoism (and IMO, runs counter to Christ's example in many ways). Well, it's Am...
