I've got a clip where a comedian pokes a lot of fun at warning labels (I forget his name at the moment). Some of the ones I remember: On a can of shaving cream: Avoid spraying this into an open flame. On a tube of Preparation H: Do not take this orally. I'm willing to bet that each and every warning...

D2X-GL's texture problem was fixed in the CVS, but no binary was available for it. So I grabbed the CVS and compiled an EXE from it. Works pretty well, except the sounds are a little delayed. There's no MIDI music, and the redbook doesn't turn off when it normally would in the old executable (it rem...

A Descent trilogy would only contain Descent, Descent 2, Descent 3 and probably their expansions. Nothing else. Why? Because these were the only games made by Interplay. Interplay has no control over Descent 4 (and in fact I think they might even be able to sue over it, because they own the trademar...

Recent Slackware releases use 2 ISOs (I know 9.1 does).

Also, the 2.6.x kernel series is a lot safer with NTFS writing, but it is also limited in what it can do, at least as of 2.6.0.

I currently use Slackware 9.1 myself Image.

Last I looked, if the OS can't read the filesystem, a program won't do any better at it.

Most games are $50 when they release. A few end up at $40 on release. GBA games (most of them, FFTA is an exception) are $30 on release.

I currently use Yahoo mail. It is marked 95% of the forum registration emails I've gotten as spam, which is kinda annoying.

It is such a shame that people will lie in attempt to get what they want http://www.descentbb.net/ubb/frown.gif . At least her parents eventually saw right through her lies and are now willing to help you out. Good luck to you in this battle Iceman. /me is glad stuff like this did not happen when hi...

The "Manual Control Powerup" is probably not a bug. I think it is a joke, as there is no "Manual Control" buddybot powerup introduced in the Pilot's Manual Note that this powerup only appears in Mercenary level 4. I think Ou...

The OpenGL menu doesn't animate. I think this is by design http://www.descentbb.net/ubb/wink.gif . (EDIT)I've noticed that the animation is actually an MVE file. If the D3 source code is ever released, it could cause a bit of a problem for the D3D and Glide main menus (as the MVE stuff will most lik...

Flak, to shut your dedicated server off, type quit in the console http://www.descentbb.net/ubb/tongue.gif . BTW, the D3 server process DOES show up in your list there (it's Main, which is the actual name of the D3 EXE). Also Suncho, be aware that many of your singleplayer bugs are issues with the ga...
