Dunno where you got those pin outs, but people are using 20 pin PSUs to power 24 pin boards. Both with and without the converters.

Dual cores will mostl likely be in June . A BIOS update will be required for Venice. Oh, and everyone be sure to switch to Intel. Cause like Ace says, you don't have to worry about what CPUs you can use in your socket. Each CPU has it's own fuckin socket, so you just buy a new mobo ever time you upg...

Shows like Mythbusters are definelty the reason we have TV. American Chopper on the other hand, I might watch more often if each episode didn't follow the same pattern. They pick a bike to build, people lag behind, Paul Sr. yells a bit, and the bike get's finished. Just show me the starting design a...

I'd definetly like to see it after you've played with the textures some more. When I look past the stangely bumpmapped texture I can see a very detailed model, especialy considering you did it all by hand. The texture on the other hand looks like a flat shade of grey with alien lines deviding patche...

No, it does not. The Athlon 64's memory controller can address 266/333/400MHz memory. I don't rember seeing 200Mhz mentioned before, but I probably ignored it if it was. The 333 will be considerably slower then 400, but should work. BTW, is that the 2-2-2-5 HyperX? Those sticks where made out of the...

It's the socket change that allows the 939s to be clocked 200MHz slower. Socket 754 has single channel memory, while Socket 939 has dual channel memory. I thought you where saying a 90nm 939 chip could match a 130nm 939 chip 200MHz faster or something bizare like that. Once again, as far as air cool...

The P4 Fatality was simply one of their high end P4 boards with a couple extra options and a ★■◆● load of LED lights on it, so I never bothered to look at the Athlon Fatality board. Probably the same situation. Mostly just a lot of bling at an increased cost. I would go with a 3200 or 3500 s939 90nm...

So how can I compare processors from amd and pentium for speed besides going to tom's hardware or something? You can't. Not really. Sure, a 3400+ supposedly matches a 3.4GHz P4, but in practice the model numbers simply don't work out that way. For example, when Anandtech ran all the recent CPUs thr...

Zounds! You're right! The cloak was one of the key innovations in Descent! It's not like any other games had such a thing before Descent.Aggressor Prime wrote:Also, it suprised me that Microsoft added a cloaking devise to this game. I bet they took this from the Descent series too.

You don't have to be paranoid to benefit from that information. If we can all reclaim about 2 gigs of drive room then it's pretty damn usefull, if you ask me.
Well that definatly takes up more than one command window.Jeff250 wrote:Go to the command prompt, and, at the c:\ root, type in:

Most quiet cases don't have sound deading mats in them. In general your noises come from a few main things like motors(fans, drives), turbulance from the fans, and vibrations. By decoupling your drives and fans you can eliminate quite a bit of noise from the vibrations, and good quiet cases(Antec So...
