I started to play Descent I and Descent II a few days ago and i got interested in how would it be to play descent in multiplayer mode... Then i found this community on google.

Just as i imagined... there are several experienced players and a lot of things to learn...

For now, i just would like to introduce myself: I used to play with this nickname on Starcraft battle.net and i'm from Brazil.

Could you guys, tell me how to play online wid you? what descent do you play ?

How can i start to play with people in this community?

First Download d1x rebirth and d2x rebirth, then ask someone you want to play with (try vortex IRC) and in d1x/d2x revirth select multiplayer, join/host and set it up you will neen to give your IP to him if you will host

There are that many D1/2 players on a D3 service? Strange. I'd have suggested either of Kali, #descent2 on irc.gamesurge.net (mostly for D1/2X-Rebirth, updated version of Descent that works on newer operating systems) or the D2X-XL (other major game client, heavily extends D2) group on Steam, but if it works...!

P.S. Doesn't Rebirth have a game tracker? No more typing in IPs then...

don't forget to patch D3 to v1.4 too.

On descentforum.net we (3 players) are recently playing some D2 anarchy now 1 of us have damaged PC so can't play but he will be back when it is fixed

We still play alot of D1 and D2 on Kali.
And since a lifetime membership costs only $10 USD, it's well worth it to buy a serial.

Do they still process orders?

I agree wholeheartedly with Lobber on this one. Most of kali is strictly D1 and D2, with a diverse skill set. The only drawback is that cost. Best $10 I ever spent on anything Descent-related. If you do get Kali, find the new #Descent server. Best of luck.

Awesome. I'm downloading Kali right now. I've never played Descent online before, and I just got a copy of D1X-Rebirth. I hope someone wants to play. And I hope they can show me how to stay alive more than a few seconds.
