Nightly Carnage.... Oh the Humanity

Post by Sickone »

As Fusion Pimp mentioned in another thread some of us have been playing almost every night.
Grendel, The Game(Typoon), Wastemore(Fusion Pimp), Tweety Bird, Lemac, myself.
Last night both [RIP]Foil and [RIP]Hugh joined in.
I think I can safely say for all = it was a gas.
We played some team stadium, Kata Anarchy, Team Pyroglyphic, and then 8 man anarcy in skybox(heheheh).
Point is I played almost 3 solid hours and they were still going when I bailed for bed. Come join us.
This is D3 rebirth - be there :)

If more people poke there head in, there will be more games, more games means you can play when you want.

I feel like I took a time machine back 8 or 10 years, and it is great.

Talking trash and laughing my ass off for 3 hours is hard to beat.

Tough games tonight, but a blast. Very good set of players, and great to see some names from before my time! 8)

hehehe it was great fun, and a good set of players.
You seem to have an autolock on me :) which is all good
I need the practice. My wirst is little sore today, but that is a small price.

Yeah, some oldies.
Shawn(Wastemore and 4023 other names, Nathaniel(The Game/Typoon), and Jeremy(Lemac) are back after like six years. It was seven for me. We had Nirvana on Saturday and Monday night, I think it had been six years for him.
If I am not mistaken Ron (tweety Bird) was away and came back. Now of course out of all of those I am the best looking, which is a pretty sad statement on those other Fools :)

Bring the pain baby !!!

Heh, I get that a lot.

It's not just you. I lock on everyone; in anarchy, I play super-aggressive and get tunnel-vision (ignoring every other player) as soon as I see any target at all.

I just never, ever, quit chasing. Honestly, it's a weakness in my game - I have a high kill-rate, but it often gets me killed just as quickly, especially for people who know my tendencies (*cough* Grendel *cough*) . :P

Hey ya Mickey,

we have been starting about 10pm West Coast Time.
A few of the guys can often be found a bit earlier.
I bail by midnight (at least during the week) because I have to pretend to work in the morning :)

We usually we'll play a few levels, hop around a bit, maybe some team stuff(god I am rusty).

Had a lot of folks join in last night. As usual we had Wastemore, The Game, Grendel, Tweety Bird, Lemac, and myself.
Then [RIP]Hugh was with us, as was Foil, Enzo03, Von Canuck, Profane,
and right after I left the game at midnight I guess Tebo joined.

We may need some bigger levels :)

Yes, definitely.

Might I recommend BtC, SLW, Damage, Gladius?

BTC would be nice, IIRC it has the same modded plasma found in Damage that seems to be a favorite of Nirvana..

We also played some Vamped later on w/ DuffTheInbredDragon joining in. :)

So, it looks like I really can play this again (got my decent computer back at long last). Tried a bit of BI3 tonight... was crazy, but kind of fun.

It was good to see you there. It was a hell of a lot of fun.
Most nights it is that group plus Tweety and sometimes Nirvana.

It saddens me that Behemoth has found someone else. :(

;)

I'm going to try to make some late night games this week. I'm EST so late night for you is almost middle of the night for me, I think.

You won't see \"Nirvana\".. you will see:
1. Whofistedsanta?
2. NaziChristmas
Not to be confused with:
1. Handfullofgrandma
2. Mouthfullofgrandpa
or
3. Slushypanties.

Those are only his common AKAs.
He has had a different name each time so far.

Good gaming tonight, guys! :D

Man, I love Whoopazz Cannery.

P.S. Sickone, are you submitting the game results to D3Stats?

Foil, last night the sever was just thrown up.
No stats tracking. Normally we are on one of Grendel's servers. Though saometimes we get connection issues.
Then either myself or 'TheGame' throw up a server everyone wants.

Does Thunderbunny still host servers? I don't recall seeing them in the list. That would be a nice middle-ground for West Coast and East Coast play.

Played Tweety Bird last night in the original Veins, Team Anarchy. I've really lost my touch for MD on West Coast servers. Had a blast. That the first time in I don't even know how long that I've played a game with Black Sharks. It was fun.

Was it BearCaves by Haagen Daz that modified the Shark to have a smaller gravity radius?

TB occasionally runs local servers for people at his ShadowLAN location, but he doesn't regularly host online dedi servers anymore.

FYI, the Descent Retirement Home servers are located in that same area (Dallas/FortWorth). They seem to be a good middle point for U.S. East/West players.

If anyone has a request for games on the DRH, let me or Machete_Bug or DwnUndr know.

Yeah for me the DRH servers are awesome. I always get between a 30-50 ping to them and I'm located near Atlanta Georgia.

Why bother, it's rarely updated anyway. I think Maulwurf just compiles when/if he gets around to it. It's not even automated on a nightly basis.

I know, but I like to see how (or whether) I'm improving as time goes on.

Joe night on Fridays in BI3?

Post by Alter-Fox »

Something I did with my brother and 2 other people in the BI3 server one Friday night... we all joined with a profile named Joe (Indian Joe, INSANITY JOE!!!, Joe the Zombie, and Jo Jo). I thought it would be funny (in a good way) if Joe night on fridays could be made official as that server rarely gets played anymore. The rule would be that everyone should join with a pilot who is somehow named Joe.

Just thought I'd suggest it. I've been thinking of it ever since that game.

I don't know if I want to see Joe every friday, but it sounds like a funny idea. ;)

Spontaneous like-name games in Descent are always a good time.

Actually it wasn't HD that made the level. I did ;)

The gravity radius was vastly reduced, speed reduced a bit, missile trail made more visible, and explosion damage reduced.
