Raptor (Pelorus Electro Rmx)

A loose remix I made of the Pelorus theme from Obsidian, mostly keeping the same feel with totally different music and instrumentation and in the electro genre... but the beginning should be recognizable to anyone who's played through Obsidian (level 8, if you're not good with level names).

I kept the 3-part structure of the original song as well: Dark at the beginning, a short lull in the middle, and more upbeat at the end.

Raptor (as in a bird of prey) is the word that comes to mind when I listen to the original midi file from the game, and the "Raptor" feel is how I kept with the original feel.
To understand how I interpreted that feel... you are the raptor.

The original midi song was by Verran Eventide.

It was from Verran, though that isn't his real name. :)

Wow, cool, I've never had anyone remix a track of mine. Any chance you could post a direct link to the download? The player on Planet Descent just doesn't work for me (tried Chrome, Firefox, IE and Opera without luck). Thanks! Would love to hear it.

Gah, and now suddenly it works. :) Sounds great! Excellent job. Whoa, wait a second, I don't think this is a song I wrote, though. You have a link to the original midi?

I wasn't completely sure the song was by you (it was my best guess), but then Sirius said it was. I took his word for it because he'd be far more likely to know than I would (since he worked on the mission and all).
The other thing is that I didn't just re-make the original parts, I re-interpreted them with different melodies and instrumentation. That's as remix-y as my music gets.

Thanks.
Coming from the original artist that means a lot.
