Anyone use Linux 3D modeling programs?

Post by []V[]essenjah »

I was wondering if anyone here uses Linux 3D modeling programs, and can they export to 3DS or P3D formats by chance? How well do they run?

I'm going to start useing Linux soon so I figured I would take a look around and see what sorts of modeling software I can get Image

The premier Linux 3D modeling program is probably Blender. I can't think of any others that are "native" to Linux. You might see if there are converters from Blender's format to others.

Linux also has a few raytracing applications (i.e. POVRay), but that's probably not what you're looking for.

Finding them isn't the problem. It's, which ones are the best?
