My opinion of Obsidian just dropped significantly...

In level 6, the red key area was planned very poorly - Die in there once, the only way out on the second time is to die again (because the only way to open one forcefield is to fly through the other one - which isn't very possible if both are closed). This means you must tackle the boss with basically nothing. If you die before the key is collected on the second attempt, however... Hope your savegame wasn't too far back.
Whatever I just said, I hope you understood it correctly. Understood what I meant, I mean.

Ah, did Darkhorse forget his reset triggers?
There's a similar situation that can sometimes happen in level 17 of Descent 2 proper.

Yeah, I'm not sure how that area was supposed to work, but it needed some fool-proofing.
