Newbie question regarding D3.

Post by Arol »

Being new to D3,( and this Forum ) :? I didn't notice my Guided Missil was disabled in the config. menue until I picked up a canister of missils on level 2, and noticed I couldn't use them. How do I enable them? Anyone???

Hit the 7 key twice to switch to them.

...Or press f2 and look around the options until you find the weapons ordering. You can enable it there.

And the reason they're not on autoselect by default is that most people would not like discovering, in the middle of a dogfight, that they've just fired off a missle that's disabled their turning controls.

That's why you pay attention to what you've just switched to. I always find it kind of funny to switch to a guided right in the middle of a fight, fly around a corner, and let one fly. Hilarious fun

Thanks guys.
Press 7 twice, and it worked like a charm.
Played D1-D2 for years, this is first time with D3, nice to find somwhere to come with problems.
Has anyone tried to install D1-D2 in XP, there seems to be problems?
But, thanks again for your help. :D

D1 and D2 are both DOS games (except for the D2-Win95 version which comes with the game but is also horribly out of date) and don't run well on operating systems without DOS - e.g. Win2K and XP. Diedel's D2X-Win32 solves the issue for D2. :)
