Personally, I feel like woodchip's language is the least reason why he generally doesn't act like an adult, but maybe that's just me. :P

Not a new forum. It's an "upgrayedd":

Just making me think of how I use the profanity filter in D3 and when I tell people I use it they tell me to "go turn it off now".
I will definitely use the censorship.

I'd like to see an ignore or \"hide this person\" option as a last resort when they try to circumvent the swear filter.

Actually, if she wants to, I think Bet51987 would be a good mod. Sure she has her views but she seems like a good, honest person so I think she would be fair and equal in how she mods.

Thank you for the kind words Xamindar but I wouldn't be a good moderator and I don't have the time. Honestly, for the E&C, I haven't seen Birdseye in years and Lothar, although a good guy, is a bad moderator. I would like both removed and someone more active installed. Someone, I think either Ferno or Vilder, removed a post in the "Descent Old Skool" forum that bypassed the swear filter. I would vote for that person along with some of the "oldies" like Foil, Krom, and a few others that come to mind.

Why don't you at least give it a try? The trick is to not let it rule your life. Give it an extra 5 or so minutes every time you’re on here and see what you can do. I really think you can do it and you could have a little fun at it too.

The forums should be a place for a free flow of ideas and opinions. To have a mod with extreme beliefs and emotional issues that may lead to being a moderator "Nazis" that will willy nilly chop posts simply because they don't like someone is not a very good idea. The less a moderator makes their imprint the better. With "ignore" and language tools there should be no real need for a moderator. We have all been posting here long enough that I think we understand one another well enough to know who we would want to block. I for one would have no urge to block anyone.

Nope. Nobody has sent me a PM or an e-mail regarding anything DBB-related recently, aside from KoolBear's facebook message about the server outage.

Or was busy packing, moving, dealing with his wife's health, and taking care of his baby.

If there's a problem that needs my attention (anywhere on the board), don't just stew about how I'm doing a bad job. Contact me and let me know about it. I'm reachable by PM, e-mail (tom at tomandcatherine dot com), telephone (several people here have my number), and facebook (Tom Darrow, Brigham City UT).

EDIT: per your request, I have removed both myself and Birdseye from the moderator listing for E&C. I should've been de-listed years ago when I went ethereal.
Spooky wrote:In fact I asked him to delete me from the DBB!
And yet you still post here.

As a policy, I do not delete members, except for spambots. I won't remove others' contributions from the board. If you feel your being on this board is a problem, change your password so you can no longer log on.

All of the admins are rather busy (seems to be a curse here), but when there was something that needed an admins attention I just contact one of them directly and have always gotten a quick response.

Just because they can't always be around babysitting the forum looking for problems doesn't mean they won't fix something promptly if you bring it to their attention.

Lothar, my comment was based on your status as moderator, not as admin. You tend to be gone weeks if not months at a time and that leaves that particular forum unmoderated for that time. An Admin doesn't need to be notified for a simple problem that an active moderator could have handled but I do apologize for the \"don't care\" comment.
