What do you prefer?

This poll might affect to the D1.Descent.cx Server with the mission and MOD running...

As much as possible. It is a huge level. By the way, there aren't any poll options.

There ARE. I asked others and they told me "there are". Plus: there are already people who voted...

Another thing:

Somebody asked that the "microwave cannon" should be disabled. This is the first time i heard this. Is this a common request? Any further special settings preferred?

As an alternative disable the BP :) VV is unstable w/ BP+MW (it is disabled on DRH BTW).

You're gunna tick off alot of people if you disallow the BP. As for microwave, with a BP, it can be just as..annoying(maybe?) as a BP with plasma. It's the nature of the ship.

BTW, doesn't that level have Omega in it? Or was that one of the other VV levels?

Nope, no Omega in VV.

And Grendel's right, for some reason microwave in VV tends to cause crashes with more than about 10 players. I experienced this myself when I put up \"Central Veins\" while the DRH was down a couple months back.

And as far as the number of players, VV is massive enough to support 20 or so, although when the DRH has been opened up for that many, it starts getting a bit lossy. Personally, I love having more players, simply because the action gets heavier, especially for a suicidal flag-runner like me. ;)

If it can be hosted without lag or loss I'd say the more the better. I had alot more fun playing with 16 then I did with 12.

I figured it out. It is the theme I am using, DBB_green, that is breaking the polls for me: viewtopic.php?t=10212&highlight=

VV is a monsterball level, play it as such :)

Polaris CTF is so much bettAH@@

Veins is the MB level. VV isn't really suited for that since it's downsized.. PPL are scared of Veins, must be the Shark.. ;)

Hmm... I've had a Polaris CTF server up a few times, but no one ever played on it. Halcyon, on the other hand, has been really popular lately.

I'll put \"Central Polaris\" back up when I get home today, and leave it up for a week or so to see if there's any real demand for it.

yeah your central servers ONLY display on Descent.cx no where else, check your tracker config

so IOW showing on 1 out of 3

Descent.cx
Gamespy
KALI

the CX webpage will display any servers using Gamespy or cx trackers. will make 2 out of 3

so those who do not use vortex will never see them

ALright, I was in last Saturday's VV game and me and cool2 have decided that having 20 guys total is not worth it. 16 max would be best, and not have it increase at all. I think it was said before, but if you get too many guys in that level the server gets buggy, and it becomes team-anarhy...

I was in it a few times noone else seems to be interested. Also, I only saw red, blue, & green flag areas, no yellow, was I missing something?
