Making a file named "gamespy.cfg" in your Descent3's main directory with the following contents:
gamespy.cfg wrote:5
master0.gamespy.com:27900
5
tracker.descent.cx:27900
5
tracker.kali.net:22999
The "5" is a region/location number, consult your Descent3 manual for the proper number for your area.

If you're behind a firewall, you'll want to make sure you have the proper UPD port open/forwarded (D3 uses 2092, unless you specify otherwise). I forwarded 2093-2100 on my server, when I was running it, reserving 2092 for starting p2p games on my main computer.

Also make sure there's a space before each of the 5's on each line (or whatever number you use) otherwise it won't work.

Suncho is right on this. You should better have a space before and after each country code number to be save. If it works without you are lucky...
