Wow - Good to see a lot of folks after so many years. I remember quite a few times during those first Ranger meetings that Sirian blasted me with the white lasers. I always remembered that he liked those lasers and had a preference for D1. But that's coming from a Gauss Ho.

And Sup - Now THAT is a name I remember. In fact, I believe one of my best times in a Descent mine was with Sup in Keg one night. He took my playing to a whole new level when we were having zero lag. We were both dialed in.

Dillir, KB, Verran, 1224, Buef - How could I forget?

I just got D2 loaded on this XP laptop with DosBox and flew all the mines last night.

Who has the Descent-Rangers domain? I want to put it back up and I'll cover all costs.

Swazook

P.S. - Anybody seen Cemada?

The Rangers website was owned/run by Verran last I knew of, but I think it's out of commission now. If you can find him you might be able to discuss it further, though I haven't seen him in a little while.

MD-1224 is still around though, and I talk to him on a regular basis...

I want to talk to Verran about one of his songs, I'd like to use it for something (and give him the publicity he deserves, his music is really good).

A lot of us "old timers" are back playing again with the help of a few great programmers redoing the game (called rebirth/retro) and a usb adapter being mass produced again for the 3dpro.
All needed upgrades/info at:

https://www.facebook.com/groups/kalikah ... tif_t=like

Hope to see you on "mumble" soon or at FB.
Lans await again...spread the word!

Mike (aka Descentile)

peace.

Now it should be almost 20 years! And I still remember almost all of your names! Aaronb, Merl and others I have on my old IDL match history! I was in the PPG with some of you as well, and LAN'd with others.

Good times. I'm getting back into action the for a bit.

And now it's been 20 years...and I'm back too. A couple more weeks of getting smoked in the mines should knock the rust off. Day 3 and I cant figure out how far to lead for sh*t! Maybe when I get the adapter for my 3dpro I'll make some improvements. :)

Well I'm a year younger, I'm still technically a "young adult"! Not for long, but whatever. I'm still 16 mentally, no lying.

Dang it. Because I haven't visit this part of the DBB in a while. I didn't realize Thundercat posted here.

Anyway after seeing Sirians name, I remembered something from a long time ago. The old warpcore website, which is still around.

Hi everyone. I basically grew up playing Descent and was active on here in the early 2000s, when I was around middle school age or so. Long since lost my old account credentials, and never liked my original username (which I came up with when I was... ten years old?) so I just registered again, with the handle I use on most other sites nowadays.

I went years without playing much, was trapped in Mac limbo for years, but just got a proper gaming PC desktop and it feels great to play Descent again. I played Overload on PS4 a few years ago and loved it, but never felt like I could really play it at a high level on the PS4 controller. With a nice mechanical keyboard and Logitech 3D Pro, I'm back in business. Looking forward to seeing what I've missed in the Descent world since the mid-2000s or so.

Mr. Sirian, I remember you and your white lasers from 1995. And I remember Mr. Oneye too (Green squad). And Mr. CajunAce too (Red Squad). And Mr. MD-2389.

So it has now been 26 years. How about another check-in?

I flew SRP, Minerva2 and Kegparty tonight.
