I'd join the ladder and make an effort to participate.

Considering the volume of descent play that I've had of late, I'd expect to be a bottom feeder. (as if I was ever very good)

Still have lots to decide Behemoth and Ryujin are going to head this up I believe as they are more active D3 pilots than me I am sad to say!

I was just talking to Verran tonight and Madmswat before she went on holiday, about fielding a Descent 2 Ranger CTF Team or something like that and they were all for it. Rangers vs ?

Glad to see this is still being kicked around!
I just read a PM from Ryujin talking about reviving this thread.

How close are we to making this a reality?

Just finished reading the thread. I had it set to e-mail me anytime someone responded, but i guess when it was moved it stopped doing that.
I thought the topic was dead - lol

At any rate - I think all parties who are involved or who want to be involved need to brainstorm on what has been done or what needs to be done to make this a reality.

Sure - we can wait until we see a demand for it.. but im a firm believer that if you Build it, they will come.

Who is on board ?

That should cover the basics of the "scene" these days.

The closest thing we've got currently is the site I linked - descentchampions.org - but the rules do require that you're willing to play D1 (because the default "core" levels are D1) as well. People do sometimes play D2 there as well, but it only accounts for 5% of matches played on the ladder at present.
