Check Matt's twitter and go visit Luke's twitter page. They are up to something and it's Space FPS related. I'm hoping something like Descent would be awesome and I would definitely back that.

Rustbucket rumble looks like fun.

**EDIT**
ooo... read reviews. Seems there are huge problems with connectivity in multiplayer. :\

That new video looks so great. I want to give them my money. Too bad D:U doesn't look like that. I wonder if that project is going to take a dive, assuming there is a Descent planned by the original creators.

It certainly looks Descent-ey (actually I swear I recognize some of that architecture verbatim), but then again so does D:U, and that has the benefit that I can actually play it right now. We'll see what they have to say in the actual announcement stuff.

IIRC, Interplay don't have sequel rights to the story, only to 6DOF games called "Descent"

Could be very interesting. :D

The first impression is that this is an updated Descent 3.

Interplay again will wait when a game will be almost ready, to then it to take away from developers.

I will support this. Looks awesome. Sad it can't use the name Descent.

EDIT: I also expect DU to take a dive. I will be backing this on Kick starter for sure. It already looks leaps and bounds better than DU. Even the weapons look better.

Backed.

Backed. Really wanted to go for the $2000 pledge, but my game budget was exhausted from D:U (wish I could get my money back). Gonna be a long wait until March 2017. That's Ok because I plan on playing Descent for another 20 years.

Seriously, this is the game I wanted D:U to be. Overload looks a repackaged D1/D2. Awesome.

Thanks for the kind words and for the backings! It has been great to connect again with people who kept playing Descent all these years. Looking forward to building something better!

Matt and I are doing a Reddit AMA on Monday -- hope you can make it.

Just found out about Overload. Holy ★■◆●, this looks stunning! It's practically like D1/D2, but with modern graphics. Hell, even the music evokes the same kind of atmosphere. I so hope this succeeds, omg!

Yeah! Also Sol Contingency and Underground distracted me a bit, so this one kinda swooped past my radar. I saw the demo and dear goodness, this might be the best revival yet! I'm buying it so fast when it's out that I'm gonna break my fingers on my keyboard making the transaction

Why don't you support it now? You can kickstart it or I'm sure some how support it and get into it now.

A bit poor at the moment, though I'll definitely consider this one I've patched up my finances.
