I'd love to donate but I don't have any income till June.
...maybe I can spare $20. I'll probably wait till close to the end so I can kinda figure out how my financial situation will go after that.

Was hoping I might get tapped for music design, but it looks like they've already got Wentz and Brimble(!). Who knows maybe they'll want a third eventually. :P

Actually, I want Boxed PC version + DELUXE DIGITAL COMBO PACK, but there won't be multiplayer, if I understand correctly. So I guess I'll choose DIGITAL EDITION. Although now for me more important single-player game, however, I believe that the boxed version should have both SP and MP.

There will be multiplayer. It was announced in the latest update.

They're already in contact with some of the top pilots and level designers from the multi scene.

It's a good news.
I think I'll wait a bit. In order to buy the boxed version, I must confidently know that this will be exactly what it should be.

Already pledged and SUPER happy to see Matt and Mike back!
They got the band back together, so they've got all the pieced to make an AMAZING game.
Glad to see the MP stretch goal also.

Hopefully they include some of the elements that made D3 so addictive and fun.
D1 was fun, and for SP very addictive, but the MP was no where near the awesomeness of D3.

Gosh, it seems, if I start to advertise Overload in large Western social networks, the majority of candidates in the US presidential will accuse me of Russian propaganda, they would call me an aggressor and an undercover agent of the KGB, declare orange the level of Russian threats, will make a proposal to double the military spending NATO and apply additional economic sanctions, in order to me it was even more difficult to pay for Overload.

sigma what are you talking about? Why must everything you post be about Russia/US relations? WE DON'T CARE. This thread is about a video game.

They are actually right on track. There is a guy on the D:U forums that is posting the KS metrics every few days. Overload is projected to clear the Kickstarter. Even if they don't clear it, Overload is still coming out. Matt and Mike did a Reddit AMA that said the KS funding wasn't a deal-breaker for the project and they can continue without it. Of course, this doesn't mean blow off the Kickstarter. It still needs backers and the better funded Overload is in the beginning the faster it will come out and the better it will be.

The Overload forums are starting to blow up. everyone is pouring into them. There is A LOT of energy there.

Where do people get this idea?

The pattern with kickstarters is that you need to get about 30% funding in the first week, 20% funding in weeks 2-3 combined, and the last 50% will come in the last week (with most of it in the last day or two, when people who clicked "remind me" get their reminder e-mails.) It's nice to be ahead of that curve, but projects that are at least on the curve tend to be successfully funded in the end.

Here's the path Descent:Underground took -- https://www.kicktraq.com/projects/12150 ... hart-daily

It's obviously more complicated than that, as Lobster Sundew's posts on the D:U forum point out. This is a project that needs more exposure so it'll have enough low-end backers to sustain a final push. Put it out there on social media. Let your gamer friends know. Share the videos with a link to the kickstarter. If you know somebody with a popular twitch or youtube channel, ask them to mention Overload and maybe show a clip.

I really hope they do make it- there have been so many Descent clones coming through this BB, I've lost count. Most have disappeared. D:U looks interesting, but it doesn't feel like Descent.

Overload looks much closer to the original game in how it plays.

Overload is not a Descent clone. It is Descent, re-branded by the original creators.

Any game where a robot attacks a spaceship with buzzsaws is a game I must own. Parallax coming back and making it is a nice bonus too.

In @ $90 & upped to $120. This project brought me back to Descent and this website from what, a 20yr?? hiatus. This deserves more attention on this site than a single thread in a sub-forum, as it pretty much would be a massive failure of the community if the KS doesn't succeed.

Hope the mods can think of a reasonable way to make more users aware of Overload: there is no rationale for holding back or not backing this project that I can think of, not a single one! It's time to fish or cut bait! :D

I wouldn't do dreadlocks, but Matt Toschlog can go full Bob Ross as far as I'm concerned, as long as he gets OVERLOAD right. ;)
