out of ideas (trying to find config file)

There's an application called evince and I really want to switch moustbutton1 with mousebutton3's function.

The file ~/.gnome2/accels/evince might provide me an override hot key. However, I can't find a piece of code that will allow me to "pan".

I dug around gconf-editor to see if there were any options under apps, but evince isn't there either, except for a single value that points to /usr/share/evince, which only contains xmls managing menus and icons...

find ~/.config/ -name evince returns nothing, so I'm guessing that's a dead end.

I emailed the developers a week ago and there's no reply. No one seems to know on the Ubuntu forums, or at least those that have read my posts, asking about this.

I'm in no rush, so any ideas would be helpful. I'll try anything.

Thanks!!

Another that might be worth poking at is ~/.gtkrc-2.0.

Here's how you can customize a different application, pidgin, with it:
