Hi I remember you.

Im currently in the middle of Illinois at a university so I know what its like to be surrounded by corn. And with the torrential rains we've had in the past week were surrounded by water too. :o

WooHoo! Another night of listining to the vaccume pump running! Such fun. NOT!
This is what I'm working on:
Image
It's a 345-MVA GE Prolec autotransformer weighing in at 912,525 lb's. We started putting it together on Monday, and I started pulling vaccume last night. Hopefully the oil gets here tomorrow and we can start filling it. 31830 gallons, about 27 hours of pumping, which means I'll get to sit here all night listining to a couple of other pumps running.

Considering that's more than a 747 weighs fully loaded, I'd say that's quite the helicopter.

My guess is on Superman or Scotty.

They take it apart as much as they can. The shipping weight of the main tank & coils is 592,947, and they ship that by railcar as far as they can, then go the rest of the way by truck. Most trucks have 5 axels, the truck for this probably had 13 at least.
We spent 3 days putting it back together and I spent a day doing the control wiring. The oil we'll be filling it with (31830 gals) weighs 256900 lbs. and will come in 6 tanker trucks.
The compleated unit weighes 912,525 lbs. and they'll basically jack it up and slide it, inch by inch about 80 yards, into place.
