The human jet fighter

Post by Gekko71 »

First we had a bloke wearing a mini helicopter on his head - now we have someone wearing a carbon fibre jet-propelled airplane wing on his back! Check out the footage!

yay new Jetman footage. I love this dude.
(a have a problem with the footage though, the filmer is traveling in the opposite direction and zoomed in far, making it look like jetman is going faster than he actually is)

there's also guys flying birdman suits with jet engines strapped to their feet.

I'd prefer the Birdman suit myself. That's incredible, even without the rocket.

oh wow, check this out. In this 2006 video it says (in text at the end) he's planning on having the capability to climb vertically (and thus takeoff vertically from the ground) in the next prototype.

It looks like he's attained his goal of 10mins of flight-endurance, but hasn't attained vertical climbing yet.

The fact that he thinks it's even attainable is really exciting!
