Lilly said in a statement Friday that its sponsorship was intended to raise awareness for treatment options and resources for people living with diabetes.
"Unfortunately, the comments that surfaced this week by Derek Daly distract from this focus, so we have made the decision that Lilly Diabetes will no longer run the No. 6 at Road America this weekend," Lilly said.

That’s easily one of my favorite internet posts I’ve ever made. I was thinking of incorporating it to some of my original “rock music” you like so much neo. I fit in rickrolls and dia-beetus; I just couldn’t figure outta way to get chuck Norris in there for the dated internet cliche trifecta.
It’s hilarious that the sponsor was worried about the sensitivities of NASCAR fans. Lol. They ain’t got time to be racists they too busy killin ole yeller back by the tool shed where theys impregnated theys mommas niece. “She fill out reawl perty since I saws her last.”
