OOF question.

Post by Duper »

I did a search and couldn't find what I was looking for.

How do I convert OOF file to a Max file?

grab supersheeps 3dsgen here (pd):

http://www.dfiles.de/download/d3/utilities/3dsgen.zip

you will need 3dsmax 4 or higher.
the program has 2 parts, first with the .exe you convert the oof to a 3dsmax .3ds-file

now load the new .3ds-file into 3dsmax and run the 3dsmax-script included with the package to weld redundant vertices and assign the textures to the material-slots. (convert them to tga first)

you need to put the 3ds-max script in the 3dsmax addon folder.

its a commnadline tool duper, it has no gui.

use it like this:

3dsgen -i <Input Filename> -o <Output filename>

or copy the oof you want to convert into the 3dsgen folder and just drag it on the 3dsgen.exe, that should work too.
