I'm only going to track down the maps that are incredibly original.

Maps such as nirvbox to me just appear to be a series of hallways.

its the game play in the level that is important to us. that level promotes good dogfights in the larger areas and some tunnel rat areas for in your face combat. the size makes for instant action and very little time to recover or get bored. in addition there are multiple ways to get everywhere so you can head people off. you also see VERY little camping in Nirvbox. these are some of the favorite elements to a lot of D3ers.

sweeeeet! This is great, a Doom 3 Descent-like mod, a Half-Life 2 Descent-like mod, and Core Decision, all three coming along. Sounds like good news to me!

Expect some screenshots soon of a WIP Nirvbox remake

... as well as an updated website, full news post and announcement of new team members, concept work, models in progress, etc.

it just goes on and on and on :)

Sometimes looks can be deceiving. All of these maps have great flow and are incredibly playable. Nirvbox makes great use of the "Spaz" rule.

In theory, all maps are just a series of hallways anyway. ;)

Anywho, here's who made each of those maps:

Burning Indika 3 - Vander
Gladius - Mousepad
Vander's Revenge - Vander
Bill the Cat - Otherone
Moria - Otherone
Nirvbox - Nirvana
Halcyon - Solrazor
The Core - Luke Schneider
Animosity - Sparhawk
Pyroglyphic - Skyrat

Nirvana: Still posts on the DBB Regularly
Vander: Still posts on the DBB Regularly
Solrazor: Still posts on the DBB Regularly
Luke Schneider: I work with him so I can just ask him.
Otherone: Good friends of his still post on the DBB Regularly.
Skyrat: I might be able to find someone who knows how to get ahold of him.
Mousepad: Dunno. Haven't seen him in a while.
Sparhawk: I've never even met him in real life, but he's made a lot of classics. Dunno where he is.

A fun level that will get much play is Abend2. A great level and you can stay away from the elite players ;) Ha, Ha, Ha KaBoom!!! Circuit Breaker MonsterBall is also fun for the Spray and Pray crowd. Mickey1 from the Fort of Wayne thanks you.

ugh...

Must be nice Suncho. Is the volition page pretty recent?

Yeah. It's brand new. They added Descent back on there. Then you click Descent and it brings you to Saint's Row. Go figure. =)

But then you click on Descent again and it brings you to a blurb about Descent. =D

Ya know, the side view looks kinda like a cross-breeding of a wraith dart (Stargate Atlantis), and the mark VIII viper from the Battlestar Galactica remake. Very cool. :) You could probably make the wings sweep forward a little more so it'd look more agressive.

I would like 1 ship only. No ship has any advantages, or disadvantages, everyone is on the same level except for skill.

flame away!

What's the fun in that? In Counterstrike: Source, no one gun dominates. Although AWP is the most powerful gun, it also takes a lot of money to buy, and can be countered with flash grenades like any gun. Also, any gun can get a head shot...

back on topic, if a server wants to they can make the server all one ship. Might as well have multiple ships by default.

How about multiple ship MODELS, with identical characteristics? It would be more like UT2K4 than Tribes then.

That way there's a little something for everyone :)

Will this work in the HL Source and not just the original HL?

It'll work *only* on Source. Half-Life 2. And for anyone wanting to pick it up for this, I think it's on the cheap @ www.steampowered.com

Zanboo.
Maybe an update on the website will help people to understand that this MOD is now for HL2:Sourse and not HL1?

BTW, The ship is a good start. ;) Keep up the good work!

If you're wanting to follow the mod, the best place is the ModDB, it's easy to update and where i've been putting most everything.

This mod could save me money for DOOM3 ... I still have HL:2 ...

But then again, I don't think I'll miss out on D3:IC.
