I filled up this morning at $1.14.3 cents per litre in Montreal. In Ottawa where I live, it's probably $0.97.3.

Even though in some smaller countrys you may pay $5.95 a gallon you only have 15 miles max a day to drive. Unlike were I live I pay $3.23/g drive 50 miles round trip to work & sit in 1hr to 1 1/2hr/day of traffic which ends up eating about 75 miles worth of gas. Then end up trying to meet other obligations elsewhere makes about 130 miles a day for me out of pocket expenses. I'm hoping to be able to do home business soon but, I'm currently looking into moving ALOT closer to work to compensate.

I only live 15 minutes from work, however I'm seriously considering a second car...just some p.o.s. 4-cyl stick. Consider that instead of moving!

With all this, I just sit back and laugh at all the douchebags** driving their SUV's around...and then complaining about gas! Morons! I never see any of these losers with more than 1 person in the gasguzzler, and they're usually the most aggressive drivers (Hard on gas at the light, clearing 80mph on the highway). These people can't see the light of day at noon.

** This of course excludes those like Barry who need one to tow their boat, and have a small(er) car for general driving.

if you're bummed out by the price of gas, i got a real simple solution for you...

Use the transit bus.

98 Octane = $1.79.9 per litre.

My 4.7 litre V8 drinks it like water.

And I don't care.

Gas is too expensive for you?

Come up with a way to get from place to place that uses less gas. My \"twins\" get 35+ mpg, and the bus does even better per person (but may take significantly longer.) Oh, and I moved to right near work -- my commute is 7 minutes and my wife's is about 20.

Buy a horse ? I have rode horses all my life, needless to say I wouldn't want another one. Seems a cheaper way to go. Don't even ask me where you city guys will keep it :)

My commute: 1.3 miles
My wife's commute: 2 miles

My old commute: ~50 miles
My wife's old commute: ~50 miles

We both fill up maybe twice a month now, instead of once every 4-5 days. It really helps with the gas money.

If the Gov't had hired me permanently, I would of been bussing it to work and rollerblading home. But I was to good for them and they dind't want me. Hence I got a new job that requires me to travel.

My sister works in marketing sales for a company. She mostly travels once a week, sometimes not at all. She doesn't have to worry about gas prices though. Same with her new Charger car. The company she works for pays it all.

My commute to work since they started reconstruction on the bridge went from 25 mins to 35-45 mins. Have to take the backroads now to avoid getting stuck in traffic. :x

I'd like to build a flying craft that is like a blimp but burns deasel to spin it's propellors. To fill up the tank i would drop a robot down and it would suck up the gas back up to the ship. Then i would fly away with out paying!

My commute to work is 20 miles round trip, it's just close enought that i've been able to park my car and ride my bike( on my 3rd week now) the only cost has been the increase in my food bill....
