I can easily imagine that thing turning up-side-down and totally breaking apart. It looks inefficient with energy, too.

That looks cool... Weird design... but it works!

Imagine if the made it land like the harrier!

Vertical landing with little to no runway... That would be very sweet!

reminds me of the cargolifter project that they had a while back here in germany. they tried to build giant cargo-zeppelins for oversea containers, but unfortunately ran out of funds in dev-stage.

It's a hover vehicle, but not a good one. There's no need for a hovering vehicle at all, especially one that's powered by fans, since having two of them next to each other will make both of them crash instantly!

no TIGERassault the hover pads are just there because it was easier than wheels - like a regular plane it still has to pick up speed on the ground to be able to fly.
when on the ground it does hover but it's not a hover vehicle, it's a plane - it flies high. This was just a low demonstration flight - it is flying however, it's not ground-effect. It may look like it's flying extra low because it's such a huge craft, it just looks odd to see something so huge.

it's a mixture of a blimp and plane. It gets some of it's lift from being a helium filled blimp - and some from it's lifting-wing-body design.

Yay! Dak got my South Park reference!

Good thing they were able to reuse that Cargolifter hangar. I think I want to stay there some time...

That thing reminds me of a giant inflateable toy you win at a fiar ground, with design influences taken from the ship out of the fim \"the navigator\" know what i mean?...

Pretty cool though, but i that \"air ships. AKA ZEPPELINS\" were old hat know, guess this aint know conventional air ship though is it. Hopefully no \"hindenburg\" re-enactments will happen with things like this... :/

We should ditch that thing and build us some Star Destroyers. Much more cool and attractive :)
