Nostradamus forecast for 2014

Post by sigma »

How can you interpret these predictions? Come true?

Quatrain - the prediction of 2014 1-84

"The moon obscured by deep darkness,
Her brother dull, rusty iron color.
Great for a long time to hide in the shelter,
Warm up arms in the bloody wound. "

Quatrain - the prediction of 2014 1-47

"Teaching with Lake Leman will annoy
Days reduced to weeks,
Then to months, then years before, and then all will fall.
Master's curse their empty laws. "

Quatrain - the prediction of 2014 4-43

"In the sky will be the noise of fighting weapons.
In the same year, the enemies of the Lord
Want blasphemous challenge holy laws.
Devout put to death by lightning and war. "

Quatrain - the prediction of 2014 2-87

"Then, from the farthest limits arrive
German prince on a gilded throne.
(Fortress) dependence met among loyal friends.
(As for) the lady slave, (that) it will not last long time. "

Well, if you are not able to offer any options decrypt these quatrains, you are a peasant class. :)

To be perfectly frank it's hard to tell what they're trying to say because that english translation uses a lot of unusual words in bizarre places. Some of the lines are reduced to gibberish -- looks to me like Nostradamus had a run-in with the Great Old Ones. :o
When it comes to poetry and riddles I know I'd need a much better idea of what it's saying before I could begin to puzzle out what it actually means. As for whether I'd believe it... well, riddling for riddling's sake is fun enough for me. If someone were to talk in riddles, I'd say it was because they didn't have a clear enough idea what they meant.
...

...
The first one depicts a solar eclipse but that can symbolize a lot of different things in different cultures and different contexts. I've heard that for the Aztecs it was their greatest time of celebration -- though I don't remember where so I don't know how accurate that is. And there's no such thing as a worldwide eclipse so even if it's taken literally, what it means depends on your perspective.
And I'm sure the third one comes true for someone every year, for as long as people know of other people. So what it means also depends on your perspective.

I read the interpretation of these quatrains and noticed a lot of similarities about world events and politics of the outgoing of the year. Though, probably about politics we do not develop. And I agree with you that in different countries interpret the same events may be different. Even if Wikipedia in different languages contain very different information about the same things, what to say about the interpretation of the quatrains of Nostradamus...

They are useless, garbage. They hold no predictive power and no major event in history has ever been attributed to one of these quatrains before it happened. It's the same as bible book of revelations, a bunch of nonsensical ramblings that can be interpreted any number of ways. That's why we have morons predicting the end of the world every year.

Yeah, all I ever have to say to people who say the world is going to end on <specific date they like> is... after waiting for the day after the specified date: "Still here.".

This sounds like the foretelling of global nuclear war. Could still happen.

TC, I hold the very official DBB title of "DBB artist" and allow me to use my artistically tuned eye to translate this for you:
"The moon obscured by deep darkness,
My but darkens as I place it on the toilet seat.
Her brother dull, rusty iron color.
What came out was a dull, rusty iron color.
Great for a long time to hide in the shelter,
But it was stuck at first, so I had to really push.
Warm up arms in the bloody wound. "
Pushed too hard, now there's a little blood.

Well, that too.

Remember Isaac, to understand that observation, you would've had to experience it firsthand. And I thought you were a young person without firsthand knowledge of old fart issues. :P
