Jerky Movies in Neverwinter Nights

Post by Buck »

New laptop has an ATI Radeon Mobile 7000GP with 64Mb shared DDR, Pentium 4 Mobile 2.8Ghz, 760Mb RAM. When playing Neverwinter Nights the between scenarios movies are jerky. These same movies if played alone run fine. Any ideas how I can fix this?

turn down the sound sampling rate in control panel, or turn off EAX.

I tried that and I agree this is probably a sound issue not video. Computer has onboard Realtek AC97 sound. I downloaded latest drivers from realtek but I'm a little afraid to use them since they're not from Toshiba.

They will work ok, if you want, make a restore point before installing them.

Installed the drivers, and no better. WAH! DVD's, other movies play fine. Must be something unique to the game.
