I downloaded D2X-Rebirth ver. 0.52 recently. The game runs very beautifully, but I did notice a few issues. I happened to notice that the sounds in the intro and ending movies aren't fully in synch. The sound is about a split second behind the video. Best way to tell this is when the MD presses the ...

Duper wrote:ah.. but did you know about the secret room in D1 lvl one?

What room in Level one of Descent 1? So far, I only know of 4 secret rooms: 1 above the energy center, and 1 on the backside of the mine section right next to the reactor sector, with the other two inside it.

Secret levels in D3? Which D3? And where? Please, please ;)

In Descent 3, there are only two Secret levels compared to the first two games. D1 has three S. Levels, and D2 has six. The major difference between them is how to get to them in D3. Instead of using secret exits found in the first two ...

I know, but I would feel better knowing where it is in case I do need it. Thanks for your help.

I've just recently completed Lvl. 15 on Rookie and got my butt handed to me, thanks to the Hellion. However, I spent most of the time trying to get the backup reactor online. The problem is that I cannot find the Fuse it's asking for. Does anyone know, or at least have an idea, on where I can find ...

I'm guessing that some good topics are hard to find these days, Ace.

What about this tactic? When going up against a robot firing homing missiles, play chicken with the missiles and flinching at the right moment using afterburners. Doesn't really work closeup or in tight spaces, but in open spaces with at least a little distance... I've used this tactic in all ...

Good question. Unfortunately, that's what the developers chose as the bot's attacking sound. Why? I don't know. Ask the guys who made the sounds .

It has been a long time since I played D3..but I remember some code that would let you go through walls..
( no clip ??? ) any help appreciated...Nav-52
PS...will log back on if no clip works... :? :!:

NoClip is a cheat code for Doom 3 only. The only cheat code in the Descent series that does ...

Okay. Just making sure, man.

You know where it's mentioned at? I never seen anything mentioning that.

All of that weapon mods has gotten me to ask this important question:

How many seconds does it take you to destroy the final boss in Level 15 with the current weapon mods you've used listed?

P.S. I have NO idea how to work GAMEdit

I know this is old, but I must ask. How did you like the resurrecting Thief Bot in that level? I checked with DMB2 on it and it says that there is only one of them. I've successfully tested this theory in a custom secret level.

I might have done it on Ace, but I can't be sure. That was way too long ago. I think I was trying it on Insane, but that's a blurry memory too. The hardest setting I've tried it on got me stuck in Level 20 before I even reached the Red key.

Secret level 1 is off an alt exit in level 10 near the red door. First place you can get fusion hulks, incidentally.

Secret level 2 is off level 21, somewhere along the roof past the normal exit.

Secret level 3 is in level 24 but I don't remember -exactly- where it was. Fairly close to the ...

That's why I beefed him up once. I made him faster, have a much larger and stronger death blast radius, and uh.. Oh yeah; I cloaked him.

BTW. Even getting the Collector Ship in Level 9 held up still didn't help me complete all of the optional objectives. The place is freaking disorienting.

Ace is right. The mission is basically a sneaking mission, but you can go through it guns blazing too. Just makes it harder. The Cargo ship has a log floating above it, but you must destroy the wreckage to get the cartridge, which is an objective of this mission. You need it to proceed to the next ...

Leon, the links say that your files have expired. Just to let you know that none of us can see these demos anymore. Is there anyway you can fix them?

You think the Guidebot's bad in D2, you should try his \"Evil Twin.\" I think you get him in the robot directory either in the commercial version or the Vertigo expansion. Either way, you have to create a mission so you can see for yourself. He's nowhere in the main missions.

Sorry, Diedel. Just because you didn't see any Robot Generators (I like that name much better) doesn't mean they aren't there. I've created a couple of levels with DMB2 a while back with Generators in them, but they didn't have the texture.
Do you think you can teach the DLE-XP maintainer about ...

I'm 22, almost 23 years old. My first experience with Descent was with the demo when it came out. I didn't get very far at first, but I picked up the registered version of D1 about a year later. I received the D2 demo later, tore it up, and finally managed to pick up the full D2 around 6 months ...

Testiculese wrote:D1 movies? Where?

Testicules, chances are he might talking about the PlayStation version of Descent. That version had FMV sequencing much similar to D2. If he managed to rip them and talking about putting them in the PC version, then that's way over my head.

Duper,

I was only talking about D1 level 27. There are no matcens in D1 level 27.

Sorry, Diedel. Just because you didn't see any Robot Generators (I like that name much better) doesn't mean they aren't there. I've created a couple of levels with DMB2 a while back with Generators in them, but ...

The guy's called a Defense Bot. He carries Homing Flash Missiles just like the Limefrost Spiral Boss. To make matters even worse, he's even got the Plasma Defense System that shoots out homing plasma bursts at you every time you shoot him with energetic weaponry. Not to mention, it makes all ...

He's a little annoying in D3, but still useful for me (some levels are too freaking big). D2, he can rot in his cell. He was helpful at first until he started flaring me to death. And he has the gall to just say \"oops... sorry!\" :x I would only use him against all but the last boss and type ...

Try this website. It no longer gets updated, but it does have what you're looking for. I think you'll really like it. Later.

Yeah, no kidding. Interplay is so hard set on not allowing anymore Descent games to be made, or maybe even re-made. Anyway, the screenshot is from Doom 3's expansion "Resurrection of Evil." That teal orb you see in the picture isn't a powerup though. It's actually one of several blades that move ...

The only problem I have with the Nomad boss is trying to stay a safe distance away from him. It's bad enough that he can move as fast as you, but he also has two Class 1 Drones (Descent 1) in his mouth that fire their cannons until the boss releases them (then they just charge at you to self ...
