and my point is you know this HOW?Spidey wrote:I never said it was “socialist” I said it was coming from people in that camp.
I'm just asking how the ★■◆● you have the first clue what 'people' it was coming from.If you need a clue what the difference is…just ask…
I don't know. Does this link answer your question? I was trying to figure out which religion (since NS's flier was talking about Jews and white privilege) had the most privilege in the world's wealthiest countries and I made the assumption that wealth equaled privilege. Am I wrong about that since I'm assuming power is equated with privilege and power is also equated with wealth? Most anti-Semitics usually believe that the Jews control all the wealth, which is clearly not correct. I wasn't bashing wealthy people either, just trying to put to rest the old bigoted belief that the Jews control all the money.Spidey wrote:So there are anti-Jewish people in the socialist camp…oh the irony.
Well I think that is to be expected when you preach resentment of rich people…right Bernie.

Tc…do millionaires make up much of the 1%?
Which is what, exactly.. that it was found on a college campus? Circumstantial at best.spidey wrote:but I am basing my statement on the evidence at hand
that is piss-poor logic. First there IS NO EVIDENCE at your hand, based on that article. Second, you go on to say that your bogus logic is valid unless someone decisively proves it wrong? Are you kidding? Are you 9 years old?Spidey wrote:Sure I accept the idea that the flyers could be coming from a different group, but I am basing my statement on the evidence at hand
Spidey wrote:As per usual, I’m going to bail right here because some ★■◆● has to make it personal, and at that point all I want to do is retaliate…so screw it.
you know, maybe if you wouldn't make statements declaring something to be so, this wouldn't happen. It isn't the other people that are assholes for calling you on providing proof to back up your assertions.Spidey wrote:As per usual, I’m going to bail right here because some ★■◆● has to make it personal, and at that point all I want to do is retaliate…so screw it.
I don't need 'proof' for the assertion that no one can tell from the article who is behind the flyers, past the obvious suggestion that NO ONE PROVIDED ANY PROOF for the assertion that 'leftists' were involved. If you find pointing out your empty arguments to be insults, I would suggest giving some thought to your assertions before you make them.Spidey wrote:And where is the proof to your counter argument? No, you don’t provide proof…just insults.
Ferno suggested 5 years old. Just sayin'. Oh, and Spidey, I DID compare the logic you were using to that of a child struggling to enter the age of reason. And, you doubled down on the same logic("you can't prove it WASN'T a leftist group" Me: I never said I could, I merely suggested that NO ONE can prove who sent it out.)in response. So, sorry about the hurt feelings, but if the shoe fits......Vander wrote:How dare you point out you were insulted. What are you, 9 years old?
I agree that calling these fliers lefty hate speech is probably a stretch. I just pointed out that there is a modern movement on the extreme left that is definitely anti-Jewish and anti-Israel. The only straw these right wing web sites grasped at in order to call these fliers as coming from the left was that at least one flier used the term "social justice". That's definitely a knee jerk reaction on their part. No one knows who created and distributed these fliers, so all these right wing sites need to quit casting blame.callmeslick wrote:and, you feel that 'concept' is in any way legitimate? Look closely and see what part of that profound Wiki article gives anything past an opinion formed by some folks who wish to call anti-Zionist sentiment 'antisemitic', despite the fact the most virulant anti-Zionist people I've ever encountered were Jews offended by the concept of turning Judaism into a more aggressive type of culture/society. I'd call the whole asserted concept hogwash, and it still doesn't speak, in any way, to the concept put forth in the very first post, that this is somehow the product of 'leftists'. There is, I repeat, with no particular person in focus,ZERO proof of any source that has been put forth, so the assumption that it is from a 'leftist' group is every bit as bogus as asserting it came from Skinhead Bikers, Rastafarians, Aryan Brotherhood or the Klan. The flyers appeared. They are idiotically bigotted. No one has admitted to distribution and there are zero clues put forth by authorities. At least most people are appalled by them, so a win for overall decency.
No. you said you had 'evidence on hand', and you never showed it. You made a claim and you backtracked from it when put to the fire. Then you tried to shift the blame - again. Trying to talk your way out of this isn't going to work, and you can't talk about the ability to reason when you don't have it.Spidey wrote:I never stated one way or another if the flyers are real or fake, I simply chose to give the OP the benefit of the doubt based on the fact that the left is constantly bashing the rich.
And, from resentment is born hatred.
Now I already admitted that the flyers could be fake, so what…maybe you want a pint of blood with that concession?
The fact is neither side can prove where they came from, so the only thing left is to make a reasoned argument as to what you believe.
But, I get my reasoning abilities insulted twice because I can’t see the obvious. So I figure the day the other side admits that there is a possibility the flyers are real, will be a cold day in hell for sure.
The proof is this: Finding a flyer such as this on a college campus and claiming it's "leftism" is circumstantial at best and anecdotal at worst. It's what I said in my first post, had you been paying attention. And where is the proof to your counter argument?
OK, I can see your, and several other people's, confusion here. There were apparently several variations of those flyers. NS only posted one. This link shows more of them. I'm thinking that these code phrases were used intentionally to make the flyers look like they came from a lefty source, but I agree, it's not "proof". The right wing site NS posted used these references to make the "assumption" that the flyers were from the left.callmeslick wrote:TC, not to nitpick but that link you gave provided zero evidence that there really IS a movement on the left, or any other direction, just that some folks want to perceive a movement that is antisemitic in some new fashion.
