Stolen Valor

While Ferno like to accuse me of stolen valor, somehow he ignores it when VP candidate Walsh actually does it.
I bet you only read the blur high lite, from your link: "Walz’s battalion was not officially ordered to go to Iraq until July 2005, two months after Walz retired."Tunnelcat wrote: Sun Aug 11, 2024 11:54 am Again, bull★■◆●.

So once again you post stupid cartoons to prove your point and not read those whose , unlike you, comments were from fellow soldiers. I'd show a picture of my VA ID card and a copy of my VA disability check I get monthly but you're not worth the effort.Keep posting idiotic cartoons as your proofs. You are the one wasting our time.Ferno wrote: Sun Aug 11, 2024 12:35 pmwoodchip wrote: Sun Aug 11, 2024 10:02 am While Ferno like to accuse me of stolen valor, somehow he ignores it when VP candidate Walsh actually does it.
It's spelled 'Walz', you vomit bucket.
The more you talk about the military, the more you show ut doesn't work and that you never served. You're not even woth the paddle to scrape off my boot.
Shut it down, TC. This piece of wormshit isn't worth our time.
I guess we have a "He said, he said" don't we? The fact is, the actual "Notice to deploy" wasn't until July. Walz decided to retire in May. Maybe he heard the rumors, but so what? He had every right to retire after serving for nearly 25 years. He gave a pretty good chunk of his life to the National Guard and I'd say that was a big sacrifice for his country in itself.woodchip wrote: Sun Aug 11, 2024 12:25 pmI bet you only read the blur high lite, from your link: "Walz’s battalion was not officially ordered to go to Iraq until July 2005, two months after Walz retired."Tunnelcat wrote: Sun Aug 11, 2024 11:54 am Again, bull★■◆●.

However: "Former commander retired Army Command Sergeant Major Doug Julin confirmed Friday that Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz, now the Democrat vice presidential candidate, knew months in advance he would deploy to Iraq — well before choosing to retire and miss the deployment. In addition, Julin said that Walz assured him that, as a then-command sergeant major of his battalion, he would lead his battalion into Iraq. However, later on, Julin said he found out that Walz went around him — to two levels above him — to get his retirement approved before he could actually deploy."
In an interview with CNN, Julin said he and other senior leaders were told in fall of 2004 about an upcoming deployment to Iraq
So TC, who is getting bullshitted...you or me.
As for chickenshit Vance, he served as a "Military Correspondent". Do you know what that is hmmmm? A public affairs specialist, not a combat serviceman. He saw no combat whatsoever, nor did he risk his life in the service of his country, so go to hell woody. Vance has no right to criticize since he never fired a weapon at an enemy during hostilities either.Others have defended Walz. National Guard veteran Sergeant Major Joseph Eustice, who served under Walz, told NewsNation that Walz had "fulfilled his duty," had "every right to leave," and that the Minnesota governor was not aware of a deployment order as he planned for retirement.
"As far as I know, he did not know," Eustice said.
"At that time, there were all kinds of rumors about us deploying. In May, when he decided to retire...we had no 'Notice of Deployment,'" he said.
"That didn't come until July."
Eustice, who described himself to the Star Tribune in 2002 as nonpartisan and that he didn't "care much" for Walz as a politician, added that Walz had been speaking for months about becoming a congressman.
I'll do exactly that. Cry some more.woodchip wrote: Sun Aug 11, 2024 12:57 pm So once again you post stupid cartoons to prove your point and not read those whose , unlike you, comments were from fellow soldiers. Still on this, woodchip? Or are you moving on quickly so you can forget that you promoted a cheap swipe at a vet's service?woodchip wrote: Sun Aug 11, 2024 10:02 am While Ferno like to accuse me of stolen valor, somehow he ignores it when VP candidate Walsh actually does it.
No, I'm not insulting his service. But he does a disservice to everyone who's serving or has served in the military with his constant and disingenuous attacks on a man who served a large part of his life in the service of his country, far longer than Vance did. The fact Vance went to Iraq and Walz didn't means nothing. Neither men saw combat so neither man has stolen valor and Vance is an asswipe for claiming otherwise just to further his political career.Spidey wrote: Fri Aug 16, 2024 1:28 pm I wasn't trying to insult you...you are the one that insulted everyone that served but didn't see combat.
And yet you said nothing when Ferno did the same to me. Hypocrite much?Vander wrote: Fri Aug 16, 2024 8:50 amStill on this, woodchip? You seem to believe that I'm a hypocrite for failing to defend you from Ferno's allegations in a thread you started to make similar allegations against Walz. I actually spent some time reading about Walz's service history. I've spent zero time even considering whether you've lied about your service, I simply take you at your word.woodchip wrote: Sun Aug 18, 2024 7:38 am And yet you said nothing when Ferno did the same to me. Woody, I gather you like your disability checks and health care as do most vets? And yes, I think vets deserve that compensation for serving long after they've left the service. Maybe not so much with Trump and the Heritage Foundation though. Be careful who you vote for.woodchip wrote: Sun Aug 11, 2024 12:57 pmSo once again you post stupid cartoons to prove your point and not read those whose , unlike you, comments were from fellow soldiers. You have a track history of both lying and displaying conduct unbecoming of a service member multple times here.woodchip wrote: Sun Aug 18, 2024 7:38 am
